Pricing

You pay for the metal, then for the work.

Nothing else is added. The metal is weighed in front of you, multiplied by the day's rate for that carat, and the making charge is shown as its own line. If the rate moves before you buy, the price moves with it, in both directions.

The formula

(weight in grams x rate per gram) + (weight in grams x making per gram) + VAT

Worked example
PieceMeridian cuff, 21K gold
Weight21.40 g
Rate per gram, 21KAED 274.40

TotalAED 7,109.51

Making charges

Set per gram and quoted before work begins. Plain bands sit at the low end. Hand engraving and stone setting sit higher, because they take longer.

Exchange and buy back

We buy back Brilliant gold at the day's rate for its carat, less any loss on weight. Making charges are not returned, since the work is already done.

On the invoice

Weight, carat, rate, making and VAT are printed separately. Keep the invoice, it is what an exchange is measured against.
